New Website Launch: The International Economic Development Council

We are very excited to announce the launch of a brand-new website for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), which is the largest organization of its kind serving more than 5,000 economic developer members. The new design, functionality, and features of this new website gives IEDC even more resources to help in their ongoing commitment to providing leadership and excellence for their communities, members, and partners. 

Let’s take a look at IEDC’s new look as we highlight some of our favorite features.

The best way to feature large amounts of content is with a mega menu navigation, which is a great way for IEDC members to search through information in an organized fashion. When you hover over the navigation bar, a two-dimensional dropdown layout appears making it easy to peruse content. 

Directly beneath the main navigation bar is a homepage hero design that incorporates nice geometric elements overlapping the main image. IEDC can swap out the content, calls-to-action, and images for the hero slider whenever they need to, using 立博客户端app下载 Freedom. 

The ED Marketplace is packed with valuable resources. Site visitors can explore career opportunities and search by title, organization, description, location, salary range, job type, and level of experience. Members and non-members can submit job openings in the region, as well. There are also components to search for professional services and even shop at the IEDC store for books, manuals, webinars, reports, and essential salary & demographic surveys. 

The Events page is displayed in a grid format with each event labeled by type including webinars, conferences, training courses, and free webinars. Users can also search for events by month. 

Once a site visitor clicks on an event, the event page gives great detail including an overview of the topic, materials, contact information about the event, the instructor's information, and bio along with a section to register. Click here to see an example.

The Member Center gives exclusive access to IEDC members. They can use a SSO to access their account with access to a whole network of members-only content. 

Over on the Staff Directory page is a grid card layout with each staff member’s name, role, and contact information.

The Frequently Asked Questions page covers a broad range of topics with information about professional development, membership, sponsorship, awards and so much more. This FAQ page also has a search function to type in keywords or phrases and each question’s answer is displayed with a drop-down drawer.
